1. Scope

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Plainline Cake Decor Academy website and related services (collectively, the “Services”), including course content, community areas, and any downloadable materials. By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you are using the Services on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms. If you do not have such authority, or you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Services.

2. Eligibility & Location

You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the Services. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Services only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

The Services may not be available in all countries or regions, and we may limit access where required by law or where we decide it is necessary to protect our platform, users, or business.

3. Accounts & Security

You may need an account to access certain parts of the Services. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

• Do not share your password or login links with others.
• Do not allow multiple people to access paid content under one account unless explicitly permitted in writing.
• Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access or security issues.

4. Access Rights & License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes.

Access to specific courses may be time-limited or lifetime depending on the offer at checkout. “Lifetime” refers to the lifetime of the product as offered by us, not your lifetime, and may end if the product is discontinued.

• You may not reproduce, redistribute, publicly display, or resell course materials.
• You may not remove watermarks, copyright notices, or other proprietary legends.
• You may not record, mirror, scrape, or capture video streams except where explicitly enabled by the platform.

5. Payments, Taxes & Billing

Prices are displayed at checkout and may be shown exclusive of taxes where applicable. You authorize us (and our payment processors) to charge the payment method you provide for purchases, subscriptions, renewals, and any applicable taxes or fees.

If a payment fails, we may suspend access to paid content until the payment is successfully processed. You are responsible for any bank or card issuer fees associated with your payment method.

6. Refunds, Cancellations & Chargebacks

Refund eligibility, time windows, and conditions are communicated during checkout and/or in the purchase confirmation. Where a refund policy is offered, it may require that you have not substantially consumed the course content (for example, completing a large portion of lessons).

• Digital products are generally non-returnable once accessed, except where required by law or explicitly stated at checkout.
• If you initiate a chargeback without contacting us first, we may suspend your account and revoke access while the dispute is investigated.
• Refunds, if approved, are issued to the original payment method and may take several business days to appear depending on your bank.

7. Acceptable Use & Community Conduct

You agree to use the Services respectfully and lawfully. You must not use the Services to harass, threaten, defame, or discriminate against others, or to share content that is unlawful or infringes intellectual property rights.

• No sharing of paid course content publicly, in groups, or on file-sharing platforms.
• No attempts to bypass access controls, rate limits, or security measures.
• No uploading of malware, spam, or deceptive links.
• No impersonation of instructors, staff, or other users.

8. User Content (Photos, Comments, Submissions)

If you post photos, comments, or other materials (“User Content”), you retain ownership of your User Content, but you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display it for the purpose of operating, improving, and promoting the Services, including showcasing student work (unless you request removal).

You represent that you have all necessary rights to submit User Content and that it does not infringe third-party rights or violate law. We may remove User Content at our discretion.

9. Intellectual Property

The Services, including videos, lesson plans, graphics, logos, and text, are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license granted in these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.

10. Availability, Updates & Support

We aim to keep the Services available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, updates, or events beyond our control may cause downtime. We may add, modify, or remove features, content, or course structures to improve the Services or comply with legal requirements.

11. Disclaimers

The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We disclaim all warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Educational content is not a guarantee of specific results. Your outcomes depend on many factors including practice, experience, ingredients, equipment, and individual skill.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising out of or related to your use of the Services.

Where permitted, our total liability for any claim related to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the Services in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Services, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

14. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or created risk for other users or the platform. You may stop using the Services at any time.

Upon termination, your license ends and you must stop using and copying any course materials. Sections intended to survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top reflects the latest version. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice within the Services. Continued use of the Services after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law as determined by relevant conflict-of-law principles. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
